Tate: The Series

David McLean (the original 'Marlboro Man') plays a one-armed bounty hunter in this short-lived Western TV series that ran during the summer of 1960. Featuring pre-fame guest appearances by Robert Redford, Leonard Nimoy, James Coburn, Martin Landau, and Robert Culp.

HOME TOWN: In the series pilot, Tate returns home to find an old friend is about to hung for a murder he didn't commit.

TIGERO: While extraditing a killer across the border, Tate becomes the target of the murderer's brothers.

THE MARY HARDIN STORY: A lovely widow enlists Tate to protect her from a pair of rustlers who are out to steal her late husband's land. Directed by Ida Lupino.

COMANCHE SCALPS: Tate must stop an old friend from murdering an Indian after his fiancée is kidnapped by the Comanches.

BEFORE SUNUP: While trying to protect a man marked for death, Tate gets locked in a brutal gunfight that he may not survive.

THE RECKONING: An injured Tate is nursed back to health by a beautiful girl, not realizing she is the daughter of a wanted killer.

THE GUNFIGHTERS: Tate becomes embroiled in a dispute between a greedy rancher and his cowhands.

THE RETURN OF JESSICA JACKSON: A woman is kidnapped by Indians. Her husband offers Tate a fortune to bring her back alive.
