Standing Up For Sunny

LOVE IS A FUNNY THING

Standing Up for Sunny is a heartfelt romantic comedy about finding confidence, embracing vulnerability, and discovering love in the most unexpected places. Travis, a quiet and self-isolated man living with low-grade cerebral palsy, leads a routine life until he meets Sunny, a shy aspiring stand-up comedian whose warmth and determination inspire him to step far beyond his comfort zone. As Travis becomes immersed in the unpredictable world of stand-up comedy, he begins to confront his fears, build genuine relationships, and discover the confidence he never believed he possessed.

Blending humor with sincere emotional storytelling, the film explores disability, self-acceptance, romance, and the courage required to pursue both love and personal happiness. Through awkward performances, heartfelt conversations, and growing affection between its two leads, the story celebrates resilience and the transformative power of believing in yourself. (2019)
