Resurrection Of Tony Gitone

The Resurrection of Tony Gitone is a warmhearted comedy-drama celebrating family, friendship, and the enduring bonds of Toronto's Italian community. After years of struggling to establish himself in Hollywood, Nino returns home with exciting news: he has landed the starring role in a major American motion picture opposite international screen icon Vanessa Luna. To celebrate the hometown success story, Mario, owner of the beloved Il Gatto Nero restaurant in the heart of Little Italy, gathers friends and family for a memorable evening that brings together a colorful cross-section of Toronto's Italian population.

As old relationships are rekindled and new tensions emerge, the gathering becomes a heartfelt exploration of identity, ambition, tradition, and the immigrant experience. Through humor, romance, and emotional honesty, the film reflects on what it means to pursue success while remaining connected to family, culture, and the community that shaped you. (2013)
