The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 was one of the greatest suprises in naval history and almost neutralized the United States fleet in the Pacific. On that Sunday morning, the military installations on Honolulu were not expecting and not prepared for what they would encounter that day. This DVD contains the Academy Award Winner for Best Short Subject, "DECEMBER 7, 1941," which was directed by John Ford and narrated by Walter Hustoin and "THE JAPANESE ZERO," which is narrated by Ronald Reagan. Also included is "Battleline - Pearl Harbor," which has interviews with military personnel from both sides before and after the attack as well as actual footage of the military action. As a bonus, "The Pacific in Eruption" episode of the "Crusade of the Pacific" series is included which features the aggression of Japan during the 1930s, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the war in the Pacific leading to the surrender of Japan, and the new upheaval in the Pacific with North Korea´s invasion of South Korea.
