Number 17

Based on a play by prolific writer and journalist Joseph Jefferson Farjeon, this comedic yet suspenseful remake of a 1928 silent film follows the adventures of Detective Gilbert Fordyce (Jon Stuart) in his efforts to capture a gang of jewel thieves.  The discovery of a dead man at a mysterious house (Number 17) leads Fordyce on a twisting trail of disappearing bodies and hidden loot.  The detective seeks necessary assistance from the gang leader´s girlfriend (Anne Grey), and his pursuit of the criminals eventually culminates in an exciting chase involving a train and a bus.
