While walking downtown, Simon McNally (Jack Quaid) witnessed a woman's abduction... and, given his record history of mental illness, the police took his report with a grain of salt. He went for help to the next-door neighbor who can barely stand him-retired security guard Ed Deerman (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)-and the old rent-a-cop went from humoring the troubled kid to starting an amateur investigation that would bring them both danger.
