My Marriage

H. J. Barton is an underworld gambling kingpin, gunned down in his prime. Having passed as a member of high society before the truth was revealed, his death leaves his daughter, Carol, to deal with the shame of the family's shady ties. Carol seeks the help of a police officer who has been a family friend, in the hopes of finding her father's killers. Soon, signs point to her new aristocrat husband's family, leading the gunmen to her doorstep. (1936)
