My Geisha

Lucy Dell (Shirley MacLaine) is an enormously popular Hollywood comedienne. Her husband Paul (Yves Montand) has directed her in many of her biggest hits. Wanting to prove he can make a successful film without his superstar wife, Paul goes to Japan to direct a dramatic version of Madame Butterfly.

Not to be left out of the film or the fun, Lucy follows Paul to Japan, dons a disguise and gives a topsyturvy spin to this delightful, gorgeously filmed romantic comedy of mistaken identities. (1961)
