Missouri Traveler

This heartwarming frontier drama stars Brandon de Wilde ("Shane") as a 15-year-old runaway orphan in the 1910s who settles in a rural town who tries to support himself as a farmer. The boy comes under the dueling influences of a helpful, good-natured journalist (Gary Merrill) and a tough-minded sharecropper (Lee Marvin), whose swindling of the youngster sets up a dramatic confrontation between his surrogate fathers.
