Man From Music Mountain

In this rip-roarin', rootin'-tootin' oater, Gene Autry and sidekick Smiley Burnette run up against a no-goodnik (Ivan Miller) defrauding ranchers by selling them shares in a phony gold mine. When it turns out there really is gold in them there hills, the swindler tries to buy the shares back─and traps Gene inside the mine as he tries to close the deal! (1938)
