For happy couple Kate (Kate Bosworth) and Mike (Emile Hirsch), the million payoff for a psychological study was too good to pass up. All that was required: spend 50 straight days alone together, with no outside contact or stimulus, in a featureless white room. What sounded like a snap would slowly prove anything but, as the solitude inevitably drove their most pernicious inner demons to the surface. (2022)
