Meeting in the late 1910's as students at the New England Conservatory of Music-and falling in love-Lionel Worthing (Paul Mescal) and David White (Josh O'Connor) found their affair interrupted by David's WWI service. After the war, they toured rural Maine on a project to record and catalog roots music... but Lionel would spend a lifetime coming to terms with why David lost contact after. (2025)
