Live by the gun, die by the gun? Depends on what kind of shot you are, fast-drawing Tom Early says. Folks in an emerging frontier community in 1880s Wyoming Territory want nothing to do with Earlys kind of six-shooter justice. But he may be the only one who can stop cattlemen from destroying the town. Stewart Granger portrays Early, adding gunfighter to a movie resume that includes adventurer (King Solomons Mines) and swashbuckler (Scaramouche). Flame-haired Rhonda Fleming (Gunfight at the O.K. Corral) co-stars in this Western morality tale whose contributors include blacklisted and uncredited writer Ben Maddow (The Asphalt Jungle).
