Goldfinger

The Goldfinger is an epic crime drama set against the turbulent backdrop of colonial Hong Kong during the 1980s, where wealth, political influence, and corporate ambition collide in a sweeping story inspired by financial scandal and corruption. The film chronicles the meteoric rise and catastrophic collapse of the fictional Jiali Group under its ambitious chairman Cheng Yiyan, whose relentless pursuit of power draws the attention of Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption. Over fifteen years of investigations, murders, courtroom battles, and financial collapse reshape the lives of everyone caught within his orbit.

Blending corporate intrigue, crime, and historical drama, the film examines greed, loyalty, corruption, and the volatile relationship between politics and business during one of Hong Kong's most transformative eras. As fortunes disappear and reputations crumble, investigators pursue the truth behind billions of dollars in vanished market value and a web of criminal conspiracies. (2023)
