Duchess Of Hamilton

In 1938, with Great Britain on the brink of war with Nazi Germany, the Duchess of Hamilton, a streamlined "Coronation Pacific" entered service. She would cover over 1 1/2 miles during her 26 year career which ended in 1964. In 1990, however, the Duchess returned, fully restored, to the main line. This program covers every phase of the restoration.
