Deception

Arrived in America after his liberation from the camps, cellist Karel Novak (Paul Henreid) ran into the love he thought he'd lost-music teacher Christine Radcliffe (Bette Davis). After his wartime disappearance, though, she became the kept woman of renowned composer Alexander Hollenius (Claude Rains)-and now, the jealous and controlling maestro will go to any lengths to sabotage Karel's efforts to reclaim life and career.
