Dark Canvas

Miranda's living in a secluded bungalow on a horse ranch in Malibu Canyon while she attempts to establish her life as an artist/painter. Peppy, a pimp she used to work for, unexpectedly discovers her whereabouts and tries to get her 'to play' the rich ranch owner who keeps piles of money in a wall safe. Miranda refuses; she wants no part of Peppy's plan or her former life so she enlists Boyd, a ranch hand, to help ward Peppy off. This arrangement, though, has heavy consequences for all.
