Danny Boy

Small-town Boy Scout Jimmy Bailey is thrilled when his German Shepherd, Danny Boy, returns home from the Pacific a decorated war hero. But the Baileys' ornery neighbor, Mr. Andrews, considers the former "war dog" a menace to the community and hatches a scheme to get rid of him. He conspires with a farmer to kidnap Danny Boy, however the crafty canine manages to escape. Several weeks later, he attacks the farmer who abused him, leading to a courtroom trial and a Judge's order that Danny be put to sleep. There's nail-biting climactic suspense as Danny Boy saves a toddler from an onrushing train, running the risk of going from K-9 Corps to canine corpse!
