Barn Of The Naked Dead, The
Three nubile young showgirls on their way to a gig in Vegas break down in the desert, where they are soon abducted, stripped naked, chained like animals, and forced to be circus puppets for a demented ringmaster, Andre (Cult superstar and Tarantino Favorite Andrew Prine). Andre also has a Psycho style mother complex and his old man has been transformed into a hideous homicidal post nuclear mutant!
Believe it or not, this firlm is an early directional effort from Robert Altman´s favorite protege´ Alan (Welcome To L.A/Trouble In Mind) Rudolph. Even harder to believe, this film (also known as Terror Circus, Nightmare Circus and Caged Women) has never had a legitimate or even watchable U.S. release in any media (VHS, Laser, DVD or broadcast TV). I was lucky enough to attend the premiere at a forgotten horror concention in 1973, and after a 34 year chase, I am incredibly proud to present this very special edition, along with my interview with the film´s star, Andrew Prine. - Johnny Legend
