To quell a Kiowa Indian uprising in the American Southwest, Army Major Howell Brady (Chandler) is dispatched to a fort in Texas. There he meets the lovely Elaine Corwin (O´Hara), widow of a murdered cavalry scout. Thwarted at every turn by Colonel Jackson Meade (John McIntire), his rival for Elaine´s affections, Brady recruits and trains Seminole warriors to help save the territory from rioting Kiowas in this gripping tale of love in the time of war.
