Richard Greene and Valerie Hobson star in this gripping tale of wartime intrigue set in London during its gravest hour, the German bombings of World War II. Greene and Hobson are war correspondents who suspect a British peace organization has been infiltrated by Nazi agents and try to alert Trapes, a well meaning leader of the group. During a fierce bombing by German planes of civilian targets, Trapes realizes he has been duped and tries to get the story to the newspapers, but he is kidnapped before the story can get out, and the newspaper office is bombed to make sure it wont get in print.
