In this all-new animated version of Hans Christian Anderson´s beloved fairy tale, Shari is a spirited gypsy girl whose mother sews ribbons onto ballet shoes for the Royal Theater, which is owned by a handsome Count. The barefoot beauty has long dreamed of dancing with the ballet, until a chance meeting with the imposing impresario owns her a spot in the company, but Shari still can´t compete with the haughty ballerina, Martina. After a misunderstanding, she trades her golden comb - the symbol of her eternal devotion to Kevin, a new member of their gypsy band - for a pair of magical red shoes that make anyone dance like a dream...forever.
