Stacy Keach starred as novelist Mickey Spillane's prototypical hard-boiled detective, Mike Hammer, in this 1984-1987 CBS series. Set in the '80s, though with a distinctly 1940s atmosphere, the neo-film noir series typically followed the rumpled Hammer's investigation into the murder of a close friend or associate and featured an array of statuesque dames and a sexy jazz score.
