Only one man has the courage to wear the star and he walks alone down A LAWLESS STREET. Peace was restored to Medicine Bend after the mines were closed, but a greed-driven scheme to re-open them has turned the town into a powder keg and Randolph Scott quards the fuse as lone U.S. Marshal Calem Ware. After five double-eagle gold coins are discovered on the corpse of a hired gun, the marshal straps on his six-shooter and goes hunting for blood. Best friend Doc Wynn urges him to take off his star and leave town, but nothing can dissuade the relentless lawman from his final gunfight not even the love of a good woman.
