A classic Cain and Able story set in the West. Ranch hand Owen Daybright (Burt Lancaster) has been raised as a son by wealthy rancher Arch Strobie (Ray Collins). Strobie´s natural son, Lee (Robert Walker), is envious of Owen, even though Owen has spent much of his life getting Lee out of scrapes and keeping them secret from Arch. At one point, Owen is accused of a crime that Lee commits and must defend himself. Lancaster is noble, Walker villainous in a well-made western with plenty of plot twists, cattle sequences, and fights. With Joanne Dru, Salty Forrest, John Ireland, and Hugh O´Brian.
