Spooky Encounters

Spooky Encounters is a kung fu horror movie spiced with supernatural thrills and spills, served oriental style, and deftly delivered by actor-director Sammo Hung (TV´s "MARTIAL LAW").

It is a tale about Cheung (Hung), a cuckolded husband, sent on a wild roller-coaster ride of spooky encounters when his wife´s wealthy lover tries to do away with him with the help of a Taoist monk´s black magic.

How Cheung defies his enemies provides uproarious comedy featuring hopping vampires, supernatural possession, copious splashings of chicken blood and relentless chanting, all mixed with an exhilarating dose of kung fu and slapstick humor.

This movie was such a hit that it has been credited with generating the kung fu horror comedy genre during the 1980s in Hong Kong.

A delightful movie for anybody who is fascinated by Chinese superstitions and loves a good action flick with a spooky edge and a giggle.
