An innocent family outing becomes an exercise in terror when a blinding light from the sky descends on the Wilsons, Bob (Eric Roberts - Spun, The Cable Guy). Dez (Sherilyn Fenn - Boxing Helena, "Twin Peaks´) and their son Andy (Brendon Ryan Barrett), rendering them unconscious. They awake the following morning with no memory of the incident, yet they are all plagued by images of extraterrestrials and inexplicable anxiety.
Following a series of increasingly bizarre visits by a pair of strange men in black suits, and the discovery that their video camera contains footage alien-like creatures, the Wilsons realize that their abduction was no dream. Bob, unable to get help from the authorities, seeks out Stan Mills (Dean Stockwell - Married to the Mob, Blue Velvet, "Quantum Leap"), a leading UFOlogist. The family moves to Stan´s fortified, radar-proof compound in hopes of escaping the Men in Black. But these shadowy men will stop at nothing to keep the truth from being told, leading the two factions into a deadly confrontation, the outcome of which could change the course of human history.
