Fishbone - The Reality Of My Surroundings

13 years!! Say it with me...13 years! Tiny did I realize that friendship could endure so long in a creative environment. In the summer of 1978, a new musical vision was born in a small bedroom in an apartment building in South Central Los Angeles. Our only goal at the time was to play the music we liked (but brothers and sisters), we weren´t quite prepared for a lot of the reactions we would get for our endeavors). It would seem that people listen to music in patterns, with allotted times for different styles. In Fishbone, however, we enjoy listening to music in a mixture of styles, traveling throughout the Universe in one sitting. Thus, a revolution in though and presentation was taken to the people. In our travels and throughout the years, we have had the pleasure of working with many creative people in the production of our videos.

This is a compilation and chronicle of our work from 1985-1991. Enjoy them, laugh with them, but mostly, learn from them. On behalf of myself and my Fishbone brothers...Increase the Peace...Carpe Diem...End Racism...Love all.
