Emily Miller is 75 years old, a widow, whose friends are sadly dying one by one. But fiercely proud and stubbornly independent as she is, when a serious fall leaves her unable to look after herself, even Emily is forced to admit defeat and moves in with her daughter and son-in-law.

Though she´s determind not to be a burden, it´s not long before cracks in the family´s relationsship begin to take their toll, until finally mother and daughter learn to understand each and are able to face the future with dignity and hope...
