Passion and mystery have the face of a woman.

A story of passion, love and greed based on Romulo Gallegos´ famous novel. Santos Luzardo (Jorge Perugorria) is a young lawyer who returns to his family´s ranch for the sole purpose of selling it and moving on with his life. However, he finds he cannot keep the past at bay, and in untangling family secrets he comes into contact with Dona Barbara (Esther Goris), a reputed witch who engages Luzardo in a game of seduction.
