This sci-fi/horror film directed by Norman J. Warren (Satan´s Slave, Inseminoid) is a tense, gruesome and at times shocking slasher film in the style of Friday The 13th (1980) and Carnival of Blood (1972). Set on a deserted island, and in an empty amusement park, a group of teenagers have sex and get killed in a variety of ways. Where Bloody New Year really stands out is in its attention to the macabre detail and bizarre weirdness which elevate this film above so many similar offerings.
